Perinatal and Postpartum Therapy
Perinatal & Postpartum Therapy
Green Pastures Healing & Recovery
Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season are some of the most profound transitions in a woman's life. These experiences can bring deep joy and anticipation—but they can also bring fear, grief, anxiety, identity shifts, hormonal changes, intrusive thoughts, and overwhelming pressure. Many mothers feel guilty for struggling, believing they “should” be happier.
Perinatal and postpartum therapy offers a compassionate, steady space to process the emotional, psychological, relational, and physical complexities of this season. You deserve support, safety, and care—no matter what your motherhood journey looks like.
What Is Perinatal & Postpartum Therapy?
Perinatal and postpartum therapy focuses on supporting women during pregnancy, birth, and the months and years following delivery. This includes both emotional and relational challenges associated with:
-
Prenatal anxiety or depression
-
Postpartum depression (PPD)
-
Postpartum anxiety (PPA)
-
Birth trauma
-
Pregnancy loss or infertility
-
Intrusive thoughts
-
Identity changes
-
Overwhelm, burnout, or emotional numbness
-
Difficulty bonding
-
Relationship strain after baby
-
NICU experiences
-
High expectations and internal pressure
Motherhood does not require perfection—only support, compassion, and connection.
My Clinical Approach
My work with perinatal and postpartum clients is warm, trauma-informed, and deeply respectful of the vulnerability in this season. I integrate emotional support with practical tools, nervous system regulation, and a relational lens to help you feel more grounded and connected.
I understand how hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, identity changes, and relational stress can impact mental health. I also understand how cultural or faith expectations can intensify guilt, shame, or emotional pressure.
While my approach is faith-integrated, I fully honor the religious or non-religious presentation of every client. Faith is never imposed—only integrated when it is meaningful and supportive to you.
